SEMA 2017 Chevrolet’s Novelties
Although many cars are just a concept, Chevrolet presents itself at SEMA to expand its market shares.
TANTE NEWS - Chevrolet presents itself at SEMA, the Las Vegas processing salon, with many new features both for top-of-the-range sports models and personalization and pick-up processing at one hundred years after the birth of the first Chevy 490 Delivery Pickup. Let's start with the Chevrolet Corvette Carbon 65 Edition (pictured above) with the name recalling the sixty-fifth anniversary of the first Corvette production that left the factory on June 30, 1953. The package of modifications applies only to aesthetics, with carbon details which make it similar to the C7.R, a new rear fender, a gray Ceramic Matrix Gray that has never been seen before, while inside they find space for running seats. The package will only be available for 650 customers who will want to modify their Corvette Grand Sport 2018 or the Z06.
CAMARO DA RECORD - The Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 1LE (pictured above) also shows in Las Vegas the ability to record a 7:16:04 time at Nurburgring, lowering the time recorded by the Camaro ZL1 by 13 seconds thanks to a package that makes it extreme in every aspect. The supercharged 6.2-liter V8 engine produces 650 horsepower and is also monitored thanks to the 10-speed gearbox with steering wheel levers. Brake disks are 39mm Brembo, needed to brake this beast with Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar 3R tires (305 / 30R19) mounted on 19-inch wheels. Multimac DSSV travel suspension helps even curve control. The Camaro is also the protagonist of the Chevrolet Drag Race Development Program, which aims to bring the ZL1 to specific performance on the landing and quarter mile. The modifications that led the engine to land more than 700 horses have made it possible to complete the 402 meters at a speed of 137.78 miles per hour (221.7km / h).
PICK-UP YEAR - We've already seen the reinterpretations of the Colorado ZR2 Dusk and Midnight in recent days, but Chevrolet did not stop there and also presented two new Silverado based concepts. The Silverado Performance Concept mounts a 5.3-liter powertrain with the LT4 engine superstructure. Many of the other modifications made to this version, both aesthetic and non-existent, are already available in the extensive Chevrolet customization catalog and are not a novelty. Much more glamorous is the Silverado 3500 HD NHRA Safety Safari (pictured above), the official pick-up of the NHRA (the American dragster championship). With six wheels and 445 horses, this vehicle is equipped with all the safety equipment needed to assist operations during a quarter mile race.
HE SUV WITH THE TABLE - The Chevrolet Traverse SUP instead (pictured above) is devoted to lovers of the SUP discipline (which stands for Standup Paddle boarding, a variation of surfing where it is still standing) ever more successful throughout the world. This particular SUV Chevrolet stands out for its beautiful aquatic coloring, customizations abound both inside and outside the car and of course it could not miss the board on the rack.
