Urban EV Concept: the Electric Utility Vehicle of Honda
AN ELECTRIC FOR TOMORROW - There is interest in the new Ferrari and the other supercars that make themselves known here in Frankfurt, but no less strong is the attention (and attraction) for the "electric" proposals, called outline the near future of four-wheeled mobility. The absolute star of the genre is certainly Honda, which brought its Urban EV Concept to the German show, an electric car with compact dimensions and extremely simple design. In essence, there is a perfect example how it can be a zero-emission car. And it is not a matter of supposition: during the house press conference, Honda president Takahiro Hachigo said explicitly: "this is not our vision of a distant future; a road version of this car will be on sale in Europe by 2019 ". Thus, interest and appreciation are understandable.
A CONCRETE UTILITY - To convince is the concreteness of the project, especially for what concerns the line. The Honda Urban EV Concept electric is in fact 10 cm shorter than the Honda Jazz (3,845 m long) whose restyling is presented in Frankfurt, and is presented with an extremely essential and sober design, winning consensus precisely for the simplicity of the lines. The profile is that of the car two volumes with a stylistic approach based on the square shapes, both for the front that leaves no aesthetic or alleged spaces and divagations (to want to fish in memory, watching it comes to mind the first Golf, which is a Mr. Compliment). The back ends with the roof that connects with the door at an almost straight angle, creating a very effective image.
DESIGN WITH THE HEADLIGHTS - The main elements are the optical groups. They are a little bit for their shape that in the lower part is curvilinear, while at the top it closes aligning with the bonnet, but above all for the use of LED lights, with which the image of the car is characterized. But not only: the system foresees that it is possible to project writings and messages. As if to say that a Hondawants to create the car that communicates: the goal of the device installed on the Urban EV Concept is indeed to exchange information with other drivers, and "maybe even wishes" add to the Honda.
INTERIOR FOR THE FUTURE - The interior is decidedly futuristic, and in particular the front part, dominated by the particular display / dashboard that makes the interior of the Honda Urban EV Concept a sort of middle ground between the cockpit and the games room. The two pedals stand out from under the dashboard, and the whole is characterized by the maximum "cleanliness", without frills or digressions that can disturb. Unusual is the sofa that houses the two front seats, preferred to the classic solution with two seats. And even the shape of this ... sofa is definitely unusual.
