Lexus to unveil LF-1 Limitless, a flagship SUV concept in Detroit
The Japanese luxury brand plans to make waves at the upcoming Detroit Auto Show with a new large SUV. According to her, the Lexus LF-1 Limitless represents their vision of a future flagship crossover vehicle.
Currently, it is the Lexus LX that carries this title within the range, a traditional SUV built on a truck platform and which boasts a 5.7-liter V8 as well as a four-wheeled system drive. Just below is the Lexus GX , which also rests on a truck platform and is powered by a 4.6-liter V8.
From what can be seen in the only photo published so far, the Lexus LF-1 Limitless will sport a resolutely more dynamic body, with a plunging roofline and a sharply tilted rear window. In addition to a huge glass roof, there are also individual screens for the rear passengers.
This conceptual SUV was designed in the CALTY California studio of Toyota Group. According to Lexus, the LF-1 is a utility vehicle that "pushes the boundaries of luxury.”
